At Roermond station, the end of the renovation is in sight. Below is a photo compilation of the current state of affairs.

A lot of work is being done on the finishing and furnishing of the ‘Stationshuiskamer’. The wooden roof constructions have become a special feature of these spaces.

The richly ornamented stucco ceilings have been fully restored and returned to their original color scheme.

The reconstruction of the station hall entrance with extensive masonry details is starting to take shape.

Station locations are increasingly becoming a crucial part of the urban environment. Ruland Architecten has been working for some time on strengthening these nodes of mobility, living, working and recreation. Authentic shutters return to railway station Deventer

The Deventer Industrial Heritage Foundation (SIED) is busy reconstructing the window shutters that used to hang on the station building in Deventer. At the request of NS Stations, Ruland Architects advised in the preliminary phase. With the help of very involved volunteers, the shutters were produced in a local carpentry factory. The painting is almost finished and the first shutters will soon be placed.
