Today was the official start of the construction ‘redevelopment of the Maastricht station building’, designeb by Ruland Architecten. The contractor is Laudy Bouw from Sittard, the project is commissioned by NS Stations.

The monumental character, the original grandeur and spatial quality of the building will be restored. Empty spaces are filled in and the program is expanded with a Grand Café with a terrace on the station square. The station is resuming its position as a logical link in the urban fabric of the city of Maastricht.
