The basement is taking shape
The concrete formwork is placed in the right place. In the middle of next week, the walls can be poured. The lift point is already ready, as is the ascending reinforcement of the load-bearing inner wall.
Maastricht City and Rail Ambition Note
At the initiative of the Municipality of Maastricht, a number of workshops were conducted to explore possibilities and ambitions for the east-west connection of Maastricht. This connection runs from the green carpet of the A2 zone via the station to the city center. Participants were the municipality of Maastricht, NS Stations, ProRail, Venhoeven CS and Ruland Architecten. The findings of these workshops are summarized in the Maastricht City and Rail ambition memorandum.
Ground floor renovation Ibis Amsterdam Centre
The renovation and refurbishment of the Hotel Ibis Amsterdam Center has started. The breakfast room on the first floor will be merged with the restaurant on the ground floor. The foyer is enlarged, various seating areas connect the newly acquired open space. The hull design is by Ruland Architecten, the furnishing concept is by Phillip Watts Design (UK).

Deepest point in construction reached
This week the basement has been largely excavated. The photo shows the contours of the lift pit and the thickened constructive floor strip. From here on they only build upwards.
