Original railing reinforced

In order to preserve the original railing on platform 1 at The Hague HS station in both design and material, while at the same time ensuring that it meets the modern strength requirements, Ruland Architects developed a reinforcement of the original balustrade in collaboration with Movares. Smederij Van der Vegt has made the adjustments and, after conservation, will install the balustrade on the spot where it was originally placed in 1892.
