{"id":7530,"date":"2025-11-27T12:40:01","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T12:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ruland.nl\/weathered-weert-whole-in-wealth\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T12:40:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T12:40:01","slug":"weathered-weert-whole-in-wealth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ruland.nl\/en\/weathered-weert-whole-in-wealth\/","title":{"rendered":"Weathered Weert whole in wealth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The steps from the passenger tunnel to the platform at Weert station were in need of replacement.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Due to years of intensive use and the effects of road salt, the steps had become worn and increasingly crumbling.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">To prevent falls, a thorough renovation of the stairs was necessary.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Each step weighed approximately 400 kilos and was removed with a crane.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The steps were installed so that they overlapped, making individual replacement of each step impossible.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Removing the steps also allowed the underlying steel and concrete structure to be inspected and, where necessary, reinforced or repaired to prevent future damage.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The granite steps were replaced one-for-one, with the same detailing, materialization, color, and finish as the original steps.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This complete replacement not only provides a uniform appearance but also offered the opportunity to further optimize the stairs&#8217; safety, durability, and maintenance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ruland.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Ruland_Architecten_2025_weert.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7197 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ruland.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Ruland_Architecten_2025_weert.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"668\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The steps from the passenger tunnel to the platform at Weert station were in need of replacement.
