Work has started at The Hague Hollands Spoor station
At The Hague Hollands Spoor station, contractor Dura Vermeer has started construction work to make platform 1 fully accessible, designed by Ruland Architects.
A new lift will be built on a small ‘stamp’ in the middle of the national monument and the entrances from the station hall to the passenger tunnel and the platform will be modified.
Former wall and ceiling finishes are being demolished and excavation of the elevator shaft will soon start. The inconvenience to the traveler is being kept to a minimum.
On the platform preparations are being made for the new staircase.
